| Its amazing the kinds of things you notice that could be safety hazards in a laundry. For example, are there any trip traps such as uneven floors, broken tiles or other places where your clientele could take a fall?
If such trip traps are found, you could have a real lawsuit on your hands if you don't correct that problem right now!
Do you have any spots where unsupervised running children could injure an eye. Sharp table corners come to mind. Most commercially made tables have rounded corners to avoid injuries to small children if they come running into one of the table corners.
If your tables were made by you, or by others at your direction, you might not have thought to have those table corners rounded. It may cost a bit, but have it done to protect your laundry business.
If there are any kind of projections from a piece of machinery or furniture, and they are about hip high to an adult, they will be eye high to a small child. Eliminate those projecting items and save a kid from the loss of an eye.
Thinking safety doesn't cost much money, but it can save you grief over being sued for things that should not be there, and actions not taken. |
