Have You Heard About This

Counting in the back room he heard someone out in the customer area complaining loudly. It was a young woman who, to say it politely, was enormously endowed. One of her very best bras had disappeared out of her washer. There was no reasoning with her. She was absolutely certain that she had put it in the washer, along with a bunch of other lace and light clothing. She wanted some restitution because the washer had eaten her bra. She wanted to be paid now because she had a date that night and absolutely needed to wear it. Finally, she calmed down enough to listen to the owner. The machine could not have eaten that garment. He was sorry for her loss, but could it have fallen out of the load, on the way to the laundry? No! She saw it in the washer and she wanted him to pay. He then told her he was insured and had to write a report and have the insurance pay. She was not satisfied, but finally left. The next morning that very same washer flooded the laundry. The attendant mopped up, marked it out of order and called the owner. That evening he went to work to un-stick the washer''s pump. The impossible had happened. The bra was the cause of the over flow as it stuffed itself into the pump. It had apparently gone over the side of the washer basket during the spin cycle. When told about the incident, the factory said no way, couldn''t happen. The woman never returned to pick up her valuable bra. But just in case, there it sits in the back room with the other leftover laundry.
