Be A NEW Owner AgainWhen a coin laundry changes hands from one owner to the other, it is not at all unusual to see an increase in business activity during the first few months of the new ownership. That may be due to the enthusiasm and the energy with which most new owners enter the business. As an older, more experienced, coin laundry owner''s interest in business begins to fade, it often shows up by the way the laundry is run. It''s not quite as clean, the out of order tags are more frequent and the owner doesn''t show up as often. Being tired and bored with the business, it takes a great deal more discipline than most of us have to keep things running top notch. When new owners first enter the business, they won''t know nearly as much as industry veterans do, but sometimes it means they don''t know it can''t be done, and so they do it. Just the perception that something is happening makes a laundry''s clientele more enthusiastic. They are more anxious to come again and they tell their friends. Business volume increases bit by bit, because those doing their wash there like what the new owner has going on. A thorough cleaning of the machines coupled with fresh paint on the walls makes any business seem newer and fresher to the public. The owner being available more often to meet, greet and thank the customers creates a much better public relations atmosphere for any coin laundry. New owners tend to do those things and that can really impact a laundry''s bottom line. So become a new owner again. It''s smart business. Date:-05/28/2011 By:-Admin |
